The Project

Gigi’s is an a-la-carte farm to table style restaurant, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Mudgee wine region. Opened in 2024 by owners Joe and Jill Adendorff, Gigi’s is located on the same site as the boutique Clairfield hotel—a favourite for guests looking to escape the city and immerse themselves in the serenity of the country.

Recreating the nostalgia of a trip to grandma’s–fresh produce, simply presented and generously served—the Gigi’s offers authentic hospitality with heart. With an ethos richly linked to the land and the community, the brand identity is rich with symbolism and depth. Beyond serving seasonally sourced country fare—prepared hand in hand with the locals—the Gigi’s team go above and beyond to make you feel at home.

*The early stages of this project were undertaken whilst still trading under my previous business, One by One Creative. I proudly share credit for the project development (particularly naming and strategy) with brand strategist Remy Downing.

The Creative Direction

The feeling of every place you’ve ever felt at home.

Inspired by the generously welcoming community of Mudgee, the seasonality and sustainability of the teams dedication to local produce, and the intimacy of life in the country, the creative direction was clear from the very beginning. It needed to be rich, textured and earthy—with a visual language and colour palette that celebrated the rustic imperfection of a true farm to table philosophy.

The Brand Language

Authentic hospitality with heart.

As much as possible, the brand language is warm and welcoming. In the same way that the creative direction celebrates a trip to Grandma’s, the language is filled with feeling and heart—celebrating customers, collaborators and community alike. With lines like ‘Your place at the table’ and ‘Like every place you’ve ever felt at home’, the brand not only invites people in, it invites them to stay, and always feel welcome to return.

The Colour Palette

A considered and vibrant palette.

Inspired by locally born artist Guy Maestri, the colour palette was intentionally rich and earthy, with a bright pop of lilac signaling the first signs of spring.
